ATS Cloud Data Manager

IQA Built Query ATS Cloud Data Manager Update iMIS Data

What does it do?

The ATS Cloud Data Manager is a tool to update data in iMIS based on an IQA. This can be run on a schedule or on demand. Currently, it updates a limited number of contact fields (e.g., first name, last name, member type, address, etc.).

Future versions will allow updating of user defined tables, panel data, and more.

What you can use it for?

ATS Cloud Data Manager updates data in iMIS replacing the need for custom applications that update data and stored procedures that are commonly used to update data in iMIS. It works for iMIS 2017, iMIS 2020, and iMIS Cloud Enterprise editions. This is a great tool for iMIS customers who are migrating (or planning to migrate) from an on-premise version of iMIS to iMIS Cloud. Many customizations, such as stored procedures and triggers, are replaced using the ATS Cloud Data Manager and continue to work in the iMIS Cloud.

Case Study

A trade association has company members that join or drop membership. When a company pays their membership dues, the paid through date is advanced. The association wants to update the paid through date of all individuals linked to the company.

This can be accomplished with the ATS Cloud Data Manager by:

  • An IQA is created to provide a list of individuals who need their paid through date updated (i.e., individuals linked to a company with the company paid thru populated and the individual paid thru date blank).
  • The IQA displays 2 columns, the individual's iMIS ID number and Paid Through Date. Using the IQA filters to restrict the records displayed to those individuals with a paid thru that does not match the company paid thru.
  • ATS Cloud Data Manager reads the IQA and executes an update for each data row (updating Individual Paid thru from the Company paid thru). It modifies the contact record using the appropriate REST (or iBO, for earlier versions of iMIS).
  • Once the update is made a log file is generated by the ATS Cloud Data Manager which can be viewed in the Cloud Data Manager Dashboard.
  • After the initial records in the IQA are updated, they will no longer display in the IQA results because they do not meet the IQA filter criteria (paid thru date is blank)
  • The next run of the Cloud Data Manager will only update the new records identified in the IQA.
